Hailing originally from Ireland, Neil grew up in a small beach town in Southern California. He cooked for a living for 6 years after high school, during which he developed his first love for wine. Neil took a long detour from the “production environment” of the commercial kitchen, and (after returning to school) eventually became an executive in marketing, sales, and business development, both in the computer industry and in the non-profit industry, before returning to the production environment to make wine.

Neil’s parents moved to Dayton in 1997, and he became a frequent “wine tourist,” having fallen in love with our local wines. He moved here permanently in 2013, and graduated from the Enology and Viticulture Program at Walla Walla Community College in 2016. He has made wines in the 2014, 2015, and 2016 vintages. Neil and Jay first met at a Washington Wine Technical Conference in 2014, and he was very excited to join the Dumas Station team in the summer of 2016.
